Venice

I am skipping right to Venice since the day before we travelled to Venice, checked in to our hostel, and didn't move. Lol. Our second campground hostel was a definite upgrade from the first. Bill and I stayed in a bungalow ensuite (yay!)- look at those nice toothbrush holders someone got for is ;) -which was basically a tiny cabin with two beds, a shelf, and the bathroom. The grounds had a very nice unground pool and restaurant. It was the fourth after all so we decided to stay out and actually relax for the rest of the day.

Next day we took the shuttle into Venice AKA land of a thousand bridges and churches. Venice is very confusing! We pretty much walked around lost the majority of the time and found things by happy accident. Lol.

We did get to see everything we wanted- Basilica  of St. Mary of Health, the Rialto Bridge, church of Santa Maria, church if Zacharius, the Grand Canal, and of course, St Marks Basilica. No gondola rides for us since everyone we saw looked miserable and they were expensive!

We ate amazing take away pasta that is made fresh and to order. It comes in a cute Chinese food container and you can tell that the pasta is fresh. The creamy cheesy tomato zucchini sauce was very very tasty.

We ran across small art exhibits with fun art, tasted an Italian Spritz during happy hour, and I told Bill he couldn't get a creepy Plague Mask :)

All on all Italy has been good to us and for that I am most appreciative. It is time to move on though. Ciao Italy! Tomorrow we flight to Barcelona.

** I have decided that the pigeon is the national bird of Italy. They are in hoarders everywhere you go and pay you no mind. Many times I watched people get dive bombed by them and Bill and I both have had them almost fly in to our face.
