Florence day 2

We decided to "sleep in" today (9) since there was really no time crunch on the day. Stopped at a market to grab something small to eat since we were doing lunch today. We found delicious pastries and muffins and a fresh fruit mix. Bill was pretty much in love with his muffin and wants to go back tomorrow just to stock up.

We were literally all over Florence today. We of course saw the very impressive duomo, baptistery, and campanile. We found some fun/ weird art (can you find Bill?), amazing street art, saw the cathedral of Saint Maria, the church of Saint Croce, and found an amazing little place for lunch (kind of a butchery). I had the best ham and cheese that I have ever had in my life! Crusty roll with a little oil, ham, and a mix of amazing cheese.

We walked through the crazy place that is central with all of the vendors selling their, mostly, leather goods. GUESS WHO GOT THEIR LEATHER GOOD?!?!! Bill found a very nice leather wallet :)
Along the way we both stopped to pet the warthog for good luck and decided it was time for gelato. Melon and marscapone with chocolate for me. Kiwi and pear for Bill.

We came back to the campground to charge all of our things, see if we can get on to the network and relax. We stopped at the market for snackies incase we were hungry later (still full from lunch)

After it was dark we went back to rake some night pictures... Much better :)

I am currently on my second dose of Advil to help with the aches I have acquired from the past few days as I kick my body into shape. A lot of walking on non flat and non paved surfaces. All in all we are having a great time in Florence and I can't wait to finish our tour tomorrow. We already know where we will be eating lunch and what gelato flavors we will be getting ;)
